[ His room really is a mess of papers and rolled up maps and books piled about his tablet. On it, more like. Scarce resources or not, he still feels uncomfortable keeping his records in the form of light and not physical paper.

A careful eye would easily find a certain scroll pressing down on his ^ key. Triangles. Yep. ]

[ Cesare steps away from the door, gesturing vaguely for her to follow him as he climbs onto the top bunk and points at his collection of maps and notes and his tablet wedged somewhere underneath them. He isn't keen on moving them around, when he has roughly carved models marking various spots in various maps laid about the bed. ]

Ink is more reliable.
